Scott
L. Carey is a founding
partner of Bates & Carey LLP. His practice focuses on insurance, reinsurance,
transportation, professional liability, tort, and insurance coverage litigation.
He also counsels clients in claims administration, risk management, brokerage
and regulatory matters, and functions as U.S. claims counsel for Bermuda insurers.
Before entering private practice, he was the senior claims officer of an international
professional liability/surplus lines underwriting facility. His

the United States Courts of Appeals for the Fourth and
Seventh Circuits, and the United States Supreme Court.
