Bianca
M. Loftus is Special Counsel at Bates & Carey LLP.
Her practice focuses on insurance coverage law. She has
significant experience handling a wide variety of coverage
issues arising under general liability policies, excess
and umbrella policies, first party property policies and
professional liability policies. She also counsels clients
with respect to claims handling practices, regulatory
matters and policy analysis and drafting. Before joining
the firm, she worked as in-house coverage counsel for
a national property and casualty insurer, where she advised
claims professionals concerning coverage, claims handling
and regulatory matters involving all lines of business.
She
received her J.D. magna cum laude from the John Marshall Law School in 1995, where
she was a staff editor and member of The John Marshall Law Review. She received
a B.S. in Finance with honors from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
in 1992.
She
is admitted to the Illinois Bar and the United States District Court for the Northern
District of Illinois. |
