Amanda Meyer focuses her practice on professional liability coverage maters and litigation, with an emphasis on E&O and D&O claims on behalf of insurers.

Prior to joining BatesCarey, Amanda gained hands-on experience in insurance matters from both insurer and counsel perspectives. At a global specialty insurer, she managed an extensive portfolio of claims, including and professional liability matters. Amanda’s responsibilities included developing strategic litigation approaches in collaboration with defense counsel and resolving claims. Prior to working at an insurer, Amanada was a law clerk at a Chicago insurance litigation firm, where she drafted and filed complaints, motions, and settlement agreements, and conducted case law research to inform litigation strategy.

Amanda earned her J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2025, where she served as a senior editor for the Journal of Regulatory Compliance, received a CALI Award in Professional Responsibility, and mentored students as a legal writing tutor.
