Andrew S. Chestnut is an associate with extensive experience in declaratory litigation, including bad faith defense of insurers arising from UIM and other matters.  He has also litigated insurance coverage disputes involving scaffolding injuries and a wide range of construction defect claims.  He also counsels insurers on complex issues arising from additional insured tenders, as well as professional liability, railroad and transportation matters.

Andrew also has experience representing insured companies and individuals in direct liability defense matters, in cases arising out of professional malpractice, wrongful death, construction injuries and defects, civil rights, and defamation. He also represents a number of corporations outside of the insurance industry in general litigation matters. 

Andrew received his Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago, where he earned a CALI award for Legal Writing and served as an Articles Editor for the Loyola University Chicago Law Journal. He remains involved with his undergraduate alma matter, Xavier University, serving as a mentor in the Executive Mentorship Program and as a chairperson of the Xavier Alumni Association Chicago Chapter.
