Colleen L. Foster is a Law Clerk on the Opioid Coverage Task Force, which is dedicated to monitoring and analyzing lawsuits filed by state and local governments nationwide against pharmaceutical manufacturers, distributors, and retail pharmacies in order to assess insurance coverage issues and the risk exposure of BatesCarey’s clients and the insurance industry at large.
Colleen is also a current student at Loyola University Chicago, School of Law. During her time at Loyola, Colleen has consistently performed at the top of her class. Her academic successes are demonstrated by her continuously making the Dean’s List, in addition to serving as a Teaching Assistant for Criminal Law. Colleen also excels outside the classroom, indicated by her participation on Loyola’s Civil Litigation Mock Trial Team, and position as Vice President on the Art Law Society.
Prior to joining BatesCarey LLP, Colleen gained experience as a legal assistant for a Chicago based civil litigation firm, which represents plaintiffs’ class actions in unpaid wage disputes and employment litigation. Colleen also spent time as a legal assistant to the in-house counsel for an international insurance company with offices located in the Chicago area.
