Allyson Spacht to Address Opioid Crisis At CLM National Conference

1.14.2020

BatesCarey is pleased to announce that Allyson C. Spacht will present “The National Opioid Crisis — Who Pays for the Solution?” at the 2020 CLM Annual Conference in Dallas from March 18-20.

As the entire country continues to struggle to identify a solution to the largest health crisis in American history — the opioid crisis – the country and courts continue to debate who is responsible for the crisis as well as who will pay for the solution.

This session, presented along with Allison G. Confer from Swiss Re and Sonia M. Valdes from Medmarc Insurance Group, will discuss the background of the nationwide opioid litigation, including the remedies pursued by the plaintiffs, and explore the role of liability insurance, if any, in funding a solution to the crisis.

Held each spring, the CLM Annual Conference features collaborative educational sessions and keynote presentations designed by industry professionals to help attendees gain the knowledge they need to be on the forefront of the industry.
