BatesCarey Presents Tea Talk: Women Empowering Women

Join the women of BatesCarey for the Second Annual Tea Talk: Women Empowering Women on Thursday, November 14, 2019 as they bring together inspiring female leaders from a variety of sectors to network, discuss emerging workplace trends and learn about trending topics in insurance coverage. 

BatesCarey’s Agelo L. Reppas will introduce the program with some brief welcoming remarks, followed by a CLE presentation titled BIPA-di-Bobbidi-Boo: A Primer on the Illinois Statue that is Causing Concern for Defendants and Insurers Alike, presented by Abigail E. Rocap

The event’s panel discussion is titled Know Your Worth: Asking for What You Want in the Workplace … and Getting it!, discussing how to navigate the issues and unique challenges women face in the workplace, such as negotiating compensation, seeking leadership opportunities and marketing yourself both inside and outside of an organization. Elise D. Allen will moderate the panel featuring three dynamic leaders from various industries: 

  • Catherine Larkin, Team Leader, Equity Markets at Bloomberg News
  • Kara Allen Soldati, Chief Executive Officer at UMOJA
  • Liz Walker, Director, Enterprise Risk and Global Insurance at Groupon 

Kristi S. Nolley will conclude the event with closing remarks. 

The Second Annual Tea Talk: Women Empowering Women will be held at Swift & Sons, located at 1000 West Fulton Market in Chicago, at 2 p.m.
