BatesCarey’s Community Involvement Highlighted in Corporate Partnership with Cristo Rey and Christ the King Jesuit College Prep’s Work Study Program

8.24.2022

BatesCarey proudly partnered with Cristo Rey and Christ the King in January 2020 and is honored to engage with the community on social initiatives that benefit and inspire young individuals to lead lives of integrity, faith and leadership within their Chicagoland communities.

As part of the school’s mission to provide students with experience on the front lines of local workforces, Cristo Rey and Christ the King Jesuit College Prep allow students to work with job partners to earn a majority of their tuition while gaining invaluable mentorship and life experience.

BatesCarey Executive Director Irasema Guerrero recently participated in a Q&A panel at Christ the King Jesuit College Prep’s Corporate Work Study Program to share important workplace insights for new supervisors with participating students. Learn more about the panel presentation on LinkedIn.

Part of the Cristo Rey Network, Christ the King Jesuit College Prep is a private Catholic institution serving young men and women from the Austin and Pilsen neighborhoods and surrounding communities in Chicago. With many of its students coming from low-income backgrounds, the school’s Work Study Program enables them to attend at a highly reduced out-of-pocket cost.

As a nationally recognized firm based in Chicago, BatesCarey takes pride in engaging with its local community. Outside of legal successes in trials, arbitrations, settlements and more, the firm regularly pursues opportunities to give back through pro bono work and other service opportunities.
