Lauren N. Tuckey Sworn In as WBAI President

8.11.2021

BatesCarey is proud to announce Lauren N. Tuckey has been elected as President of the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois (WBAI) for the June 2021 to June 2022 term. This position follows her year-long term serving as WBAI’s first Vice President.

The WBAI, originated in 1914, is one of the oldest and largest bar associations in Illinois. It was founded with the mission to promote the interests and welfare of women lawyers and to assist in the enactment of legislation for the common good and in the administration of justice.

Lauren will be welcomed into her position along with the installation of the WBAI’s 2021-2022 Officers and Directors at their 107th Annual Dinner on Thursday, August 26th, 2021.

Within her practice, Lauren concentrates on product and railroad liability matters, construction accidents and a variety of contract disputes. Her versatile experience in the world of insurance law positions her as the go-to attorney for BatesCarey’s most complex insurance coverage and subrogation disputes around the country.

After graduating from the University of Miami in 2011 with her J.D. cum laude, Lauren has become a well-established and effective litigator in her field. Beginning in 2016, Lauren has been annually recognized in the Super Lawyers Rising Stars list, a feat achieved by no more than 2.5 percent of Illinois lawyers under the age of 40.
