Adam H. Fleischer Named to 2023 Crain’s Chicago Business Notable Litigators and Trial Attorneys List

3.13.2023

BatesCarey announced today Adam H. Fleischer’s selection to Crain’s Chicago Business’ 2023 Notable Litigators and Trial Attorneys list. Adam was one of only four insurance coverage attorneys to receive this prestigious honor, which recognizes top Chicago area litigators for their measurable impact in their practice, as well as their leadership and community involvement.

Adam created the nation’s first Opioid Coverage Task Force and amassed the leading legal team navigating opioid insurance matters globally and litigating multi-billion-dollar suits in London, California, Delaware, New York and beyond. Adam also developed the firm’s COVID-19 Team, achieving new legal precedent in multiple circuit courts of appeal and courts nationally.

On behalf of his college alumni community, Adam founded the University of Illinois’s Name, Image, Likeness (NIL) fan collective, Illini Guardians. Through this group, Adam coordinated college athletes to participate in a Black History Month art fair with children on Chicago’s South Side. He contracted with 70 university athletes to participate in “Day Off Social Media” promoting mental health awareness. Most significantly, Illini Guardians coordinated Illini football linemen for the Help Tackle Hunger food drive which generated more food for the Eastern Illinois Foodbank than any prior event.

Illini Guardians is one of the country’s first NIL collectives, and Adam conceived new ways to integrate payment and support of college athletes with community service, which never existed. He has been interviewed by national media following the NIL space, including Sports Illustrated.
