Michael Olson focuses on reinsurance matters, supporting cedents and reinsurers in complex reinsurance disputes and coverage issues. He assists with legal research and the drafting of memoranda and briefs in support of these matters.
Prior to joining BatesCarey, Michael practiced at a regional defense firm in Chicago representing employers and insurers through all stages of contested litigation, including arguing arbitrations before the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission.
Michael earned his J.D. from University of Wisconsin Law School in 2025 after obtaining a B.A. in History from Saint John’s University in 2021.
