Timothy counsels primary and excess insurers in both non-litigated and litigated coverage matters. His experience spans first-party property loss and third-party liability claims, as well as subrogation, rescission, and bad faith matters.

Prior to joining BatesCarey, Timothy worked as an associate across Chicago-area law firms and a large national insurer, representing insurers in coverage matters as well as policyholders in civil liability matters. He calls upon his experience to help insurers achieve efficient, practical, and value-focused results, balancing the fine details of each individual matter with the bigger picture of his clients’ needs. Though an experienced litigator, Timothy understands that positioning a coverage dispute for early resolution outside of litigation may be in the best interests of all.

Timothy earned his J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law in 2018 and his B.A. from Eastern Illinois University in 2010.
