Ranjini Rajan is an associate who focuses her practice primarily on professional liability. Prior to joining BatesCarey, Ranjini gained litigation experience at a Chicago firm that handled the defense of commercial airlines and component part manufacturers of aircrafts.

During law school, Ranjini served as a judicial extern to The Honorable Sophia H. Hall in the Cook County Chancery Division, as well as to The Honorable Sanjay T.  Tailor in the Cook County Law Division.  Ranjini was also awarded the prestigious Philip H. Corboy Fellowship in Trial Advocacy, and competed in national trial competitions, resulting in various awards for trial preparation and presentation. 

Ranjini now serves as an adjunct professor in trial advocacy for Loyola’s Corboy Fellowship mock trial team.  She is also a legal advisor to the Chicago Tyagaraja Utsavam, a non-profit organization that promotes South Indian classical music in the United States.

Ranjini has earned the Rising Stars designation by Super Lawyers, which recognizes just 2.5% of all attorneys in each state under the age of 40.
