Alyssa Lanier is an associate who represents insurers in complex insurance coverage disputes, focusing on commercial general liability issues.

Alyssa earned her J.D., cum laude, from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2023. During law school, she was a member of the Chicago-Kent Law Review and served as Alumni Relations Chair of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society.

Prior to joining BatesCarey, Alyssa served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Pamela McLean Meyerson (Ret.) and the Honorable D. Renee Jackson in the Circuit Court of Cook County’s Chancery Division. She also served as an associate attorney at a law firm in the Greater Chicago area, where she gained experience drafting motions and pleadings in state and federal court, preparing discovery documents and advising attorneys and clients on litigation strategies in business dispute cases.
