Kari Timm to Moderate D&O and Cyber Panel at PLUS D&O and Cyber Symposium in New York
BatesCarey partner Kari Timm will moderate a panel on Tuesday, March 3, at the PLUS D&O and Cyber Symposium in New York City. The panel, titled “The Intersection of Cyber and D&O – Bridging the Towers,” will examine how cyber and D&O policies respond to complex technology-driven risks.
Kari will be joined by four industry professionals from the D&O and cyber spaces as they navigate various claims scenarios, including a malicious attack on a large public company and a non-malicious outage of a public company’s computer system.
Using these scenarios, the panel will discuss:
- Practical approaches to claims handling under both cyber and D&O policies
- Where coverage gaps or overlaps often occur, as well as how to avoid them
- How evolving cyber risks shape insurance procurement and underwriting
- Differences in coverage considerations for private and public companies and the risks each presents
- The impact of SEC guidance on cyber risks and incidents
- How SEC guidance influences cyber and D&O coverage
- New exposures created by emerging AI technologies and other risks
